Thoughtful design, precision baking, elegant finishing and stunning decoration are to be the hallmarks of Wedding Belle Bakery recently formed by Carol Murphy.

Carol is well known to generations of Cork Foodies as the founder and inspiration behind the renowned Cinnamon Cottage deli and bakery from its inception in 1993 until its sale in late 2015.

Wedding Belle Bakery provides a bespoke service to clients individual cake requirements focusing primarily on the wedding and celebration cake markets.

The Studio itself is a modern contemporary structure  built in 2016 and set in the mature gardens of Carol’s home in the Cork suburb of Rochestown.

HSE approved and totally fit for purpose this beautiful base will be used by Carol to fashion her one off cake creations. It is her stated intention to handle each aspect of a  commission herself, from the design consultations , to the bake and  ultimate decorative processes.  Delivery and set up will also be part of the service offer.

Retirement from the day job offered Carol the opportunity to realise a long held ambition to indulge in her passion and interest in the art of sugar craft. She has recently completed her PME masters incorporating fondant, sugar craft and royal icing modules. The Studio is brimming with the fruits of her labour.

Carol adds this PME  masters to her three month  Ballymaloe residential qualification, she also holds certs for courses completed in retail display and merchandising. A long love affair with all things floral led her to complete a professional floristry course at the renowned Jane Packer floristry academy in London in 2010.

She has also attended several baking courses given by Peggy Porchen at her academy in Belgravia.

It was probably inevitable that given her twin passions for baking and floristry that the two would ultimately come together.
